BANTAM LAKE SKI CLUB TO PUT ON ANNUAL SKI SHOW IN AUGUST

Morris CT – The skiers of the Bantam Lake Ski Club are excited to announce that they will continue the tradition of their annual Ski Show. The show will take place on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Sandy Beach on East Shore Rd, Morris CT. This years theme is a tribute to THE BEATLES.
           
The annual ski show takes place every August, and displays the talents of Bantam’s own skiers, some of whom are ranked nationally on the competitive water ski circuit. The show will include wakeboards, trick skis, water ski pyramids, distance jumping and more. The costumes, music, acts and setting will be sure to provide plenty of entertainment for all ages.

A concession stand will be on hand from Chowderheads Restaurant of Bantam including hotdogs, sandwiches and soft drinks. Picnicing is also available at Sandy Beach. Spectators can come and enjoy the musical accompaniments to the show and swim before, at intermission and after the show.

            The Bantam Lake Ski Club is celebrating its 52nd year in existence. It was founded in 1958 by a handful of members. Today, the club boasts over 70 active members ranging from one to seventy years old. The water sports themed, non-profit club offers a variety of community service events on Connecticut’s Bantam Lake.
